When...? : Behind The Film

Ever forgotten something? Ever forgotten something your partner deems important? A romantic Redpath Museum date turns awkward when a young man forgets a crucial event in his relationship.

When I began making short films, I would often lean towards dark themes as an attempt to create shock value and impact. With "When...?," I wanted to challenge myself to make a lighter and comedic film.

In “When…?," a couple goes on a romantic date until, unfortunately, one of the characters forgets a crucial event in their relationship. In the past, I’ve experienced my partner forgetting a moment that I felt was meaningful, and I thought I would approach this event by taking on their perspective in a fun and stylized manner.
